I am definitely a plant mom. I really enjoy spending time in my garden growing a variety of plants. Most recently I have started working on raised beds where I am growing edible plants and it has been quite a journey. It is an interesting balance between keeping the caterpillars at bay but allowing pollinators to take their cut. I have been so inspired by all that I have learned and continue to discover with my garden.
While I am definitely not a hairstylist (I do not trust myself to balayage), I love experimenting with new styles. I am especially partial to braids and I have started to teach myself how to do braid in extensions like the professionals. I use my Instagram to capture and highlight some of the techniques I have attempted, having fun with it along the way.
Who doesn’t love to travel? Despite the jetlag, I love exploring new places and discovering the rich history that makes many countries so unique. Traveling has expanded my understanding and appreciation of different cultures and different ways of thinking than what I find at home. I am also half Swiss, and have family in Europe that I am fortunate to be able to visit on occasion.
I love my furry friends; but since my sinuses do not, I have 2 furless babies! My two super snow leopard geckos have a double decker terrarium where they can bask under their heat lamps and munch on some mealworms. Many people don’t know that geckos store their fat in their tails and can use that fat like camels, meaning they do not have to drink water as often to stay hydrated.
Above everything else, my family is my everything. I have two younger brothers who I adore, and two wonderful parents that have been very supportive my whole life. In 2020 a lot of things happened, but one of the good moments that came out right before the pandemic was joining my family with my husband James' family. We have been together for over 10 years! And many more to come.
